Directions
DIRECTIONS FOR USE
Shake well before using
Add 2 teaspoons (10ml) for every ten gallons of water (37.85L) directly into the water. Repeat dosage after 24 hours.
Repeat the above steps biweekly or when wanting to remove visible sludge.
To increase effectiveness, add directly into filter media, particularly activated carbon. Activated carbon is an excellent surface area for the Bacillus sp. bacteria in TIDY TURTLE.
Benefits
TIDY TURTLE contains more than 2 billion Colony Forming Units (CFU) of heterotrophic bacteria per milliliter and the enzymes that help break down turtle waste products. These various species of bacteria consume carbohydrates, proteins, starches, fats and cellulose that build up in turtle habitats and turtle aquariums as the result of feeding, turtle waste, decaying plant matter and other organics. The Bacillus species in TIDY TURTLE can function in aerobic and anerobic conditions allowing these organisms to function in the best and worst of turtle habitat or turtle aquarium conditions.
TIDY TURTLE extends the useful life of filter materials and decreases channeling inside filters – allowing faster water flow and increased filter efficiency. TIDY TURTLE eliminates debris accumulation in biofilters, preventing the formation of toxic anaerobic zones within the filter media.
TIDY TURTLE makes turtle habitat or turtle aquarium maintenance much easier. In addition, TIDY TURTLE does not harm any of the beneficial organisms that are already active in the aquarium, and is safe if ingested by turtles.

Contraindicitions
Compatabilities & Contraindications
These bacteria are 100% non-toxic, non-pathogenic and feed on decomposing organic matter. TIDY TURTLE is non-corrosive and requires no special precautions to handle. These bacteria are not a health hazard to humans, fish, pets, plants or wildlife. TIDY TURTLE may be used with all of Kordon’s water conditioners including AmQuel, AmQuel Plus and NovAqua.

TIDY TURTLE is not a medication and is not intended for use treating turtle disease. TIDY TURTLE is to be used as a sludge removing agent. TIDY TURTLE should not be used in conjunction with any medications, especially antibiotics. Medications will harm the organisms in TIDY TURTLE. Before using TIDY TURTLE in any turtle tank or turtle aquarium that has been medicated, perform at least a 20% water change and use fresh activated carbon to remove any remaining chemotherapeutic agents.
Ultraviolet sterilizers should be turned off for up to a day after application.
